Dominic started from a young age riding horses and has always been involved with them, he decided from a very young age that he wanted to become a Farrier. He was in the HH Pony Club in 1995 and enjoyed all types of riding. After Dominic left school in 2001 he attended Hereford College of Technology to do a pre-farrier course to see if this was the career he wanted to persue. He decided very quickly from then on he wanted to become a farrier. He started his four and a half year apprenticeship in 2002 during this time he got to meet and work with a one of the country's top competition farriers Nigel Fennel from whom he learnt a lot from and picked up some great shoe making skills, he worked his way to his final exams in 2006 which he passed then went on to start his business in early 2007, at which time he decided he wanted to learn more about the art of shoeing and shoe making and started to work a day a week for Adrian Devereux who taught him a lot about remedial farriery which has proved to be great skill in his day to day farriery. Dominic’s aim is to bring a modern touch to farriery by learning all types of his craft new and old, bringing a friendly, professional and reliable service to his customers.
